Neema Carter, also known as the “Money Doctor,” is a Tanzanian-born financial professional, growth consultant, and mindset coach with a passion for empowering women to take control of their financial futures. She co-founded the I Am Grace Movement, a financial salvation initiative designed to help women build wealth, protect their assets, and unlock their full potential. Neema is also the author of Jiongeze: Discover Your Purpose and a financial literacy speaker who strives to make money management both simple and engaging.
Born and raised in Tanzania, Neema moved to the United States at the age of 23. With a background as a finance major, she dove deep into the world of personal finance, but it wasn’t until she stepped into the real world that she realized how much her formal education had missed. While her finance degree gave her the technical knowledge, it didn’t teach her the practical, real-world strategies to manage personal finances effectively—things like budgeting, investing, debt management, and wealth-building strategies. This gap in her education became the spark for her passion to teach others the financial knowledge that’s often left out of traditional schooling.
As the daughter of a pastor, Neema grew up immersed in ministry, and now, she carries on that legacy by helping women transform their mindsets, develop financial confidence, and secure a prosperous future. Her journey into financial education was sparked by discovering how much she didn’t know about personal finance—knowledge that schools simply don’t teach. Determined to fill that gap for others, Neema has made it her mission to help women gain the tools and insights needed to thrive financially.
As a widow and a mother to a 14-year-old son, Neema deeply understands the importance of financial preparation and resilience. A fun fact about her: when she moved to the U.S. in 2008, she taught herself English! Neema’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance and how challenges can be turned into opportunities for growth.

Neema often says, “I’m not where I need to be, but I’m not where I used to be.” This mindset is central to everything she does—whether it’s in her speaking engagements, coaching sessions, or everyday interactions. Neema is dedicated to helping women rewrite their financial stories and take charge of their futures.
